Welcome
| Where we
fish........................... |
|
|
We fish the entire Long Island Sound from end to
end. 110 miles long by 20 miles wide with two
openings makes the Sound a very unique place to
fish. It's a nursery for New England's bait. The
Five Mile River in Rowayton is our home port. Within
1 hour from Manhattan. Once you park take 20
steps from your car to our "State of the
Art" saltwater fly fishing boat. Four Minutes
later we are in open water heading to the Norwalk
Island's best fishing spots...
|
| Season................................ |
|
|
The Long Island Sound has one of the longest fishing
seasons in New England. Striped Bass arrive in April
in search of warmer waters and food. The salt ponds
and estuaries along the CT coastlines offer easy
access to both. Bluefish follow Menhaden. Typically
late May is when we see the first signs of Bluefish.
Anchovies arrive in early August and with them
Bonito. False Albacore arrive in force at the
beginning of September. Albies can stay until late
October. The Fall Run kicks into gear at the
beginning of October and lasts till Christmas. Some
of the biggest fish push through the Sound between
November and January.
