2008 Fishing Report
May 7, 2008 The Striper Season has begun with an amazing push of fish into our area. All of the salt ponds and estuaries have bass and bait in place. The most productive areas are the Western Sound in Hempstead, Mamaroneck as well as the Housatonic river and the CT River. In addition to those locations Greenwich, Stamford, and Norwalk, Have seen a lot of bait and fish move in. If you are fishing the salt-ponds try clousers in natural colors. If you are fishing deeper water or the rivers try big Half/halfs in bright colors. Plenty of bait around with mature Bunker setting up for the spawn. Looking forward to a great season of fishing. Reserve a date now to fish with me. We are expecting to receive our new Hydra-Sports Bay Bolt within the next 3 weeks. It is going to be a rocket. We also have the new Zero G and Helios rods to fish.
